Fire Chief Dan Harker
Dan Harker began his fire service career in 1991 as a paid call firefighter with the San Bernardino County Fire Agency in Lake Arrowhead. Chief Harker was hired as a Firefighter/Paramedic by the
San Bernardino City Fire Department in October 1995. While working for the San Bernardino City
Fire Department he promoted through the ranks working as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer, Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief. In July 2016 the San Bernardino City Fire Department was annexed into the San Bernardino County Fire Department where he was hired as a Fire Captain. In January 2018 Chief Harker was hired as the Deputy Fire Chief by the Colton Fire Department. In April 2019 he was hired as Fire Chief with the Loma Linda Fire Department. Chief Harker has a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science, is a State Certified Chief Officer, and holds several other professional certifications.

Battalion Chief Tim Bruner
In his 22 years as a member of the Norco Fire Department, he worked his way through the ranks holding the positions of Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and interim Battalion Chief. In January 2011 the Norco Fire Department transitioned to the Riverside County/CalFire Fire Department where
he was employed as a Fire Captain until August of 2014 when he started his career with the Loma
Linda Fire Department as a Fire Captain. In November 2014 he was promoted to the position of Battalion Chief where he was assigned as the “B” shift commander for both cities of Colton and Loma Linda. Chief Bruner currently serves as Division Chief overseeing Operations and Logistics. Chief Bruner has an Associate of Science degree in fire technology. He is a certified Chief Fire Officer, Company Officer, Driver Operator, Hazardous Materials Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, and Heavy Rescue Technician.

Battalion Chief Jeff Gillette
Jeff Gillette is a Division Chief with the Loma Linda Fire Department and serves within the East Valley Command Staff. He has 22 years of fire service experience and has served as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. His current duties include: training, emergency medical services, risk management/safety, policies, and public relations. He has earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and is a graduate of the Los Angeles Fire Department Leadership Academy. Jeff currently serves as the Vice-president of the San Bernardino County Fire Training Officers and Associate Director within the California Fire Training Officers Southern Division.

Battalion Chief Michael Atchison
Mike Atchison started his fire service career as a reserve firefighter with the Loma Linda Fire Department in 2001. Mike has served the City of Loma Linda as a paid-call Firefighter, Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and now Battalion Chief. Mike has held positions in labor management, and in the firefighters’ associations as well as served on policy, training, and apparatus/equipment committees. As a Battalion Chief Mike is responsible for facilities management and the department staffing program. Mike is currently assigned as the A shift Battalion Chief. Prior to his fire service career, Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Management, from California State University, San Bernardino.

Fire Marshal Tom Ingalls
Tom Ingalls was born and raised in the City of Loma Linda. Tom began his fire service career in 2005 as a Paid Call Firefighter for the City of Highland. In 2008 he was hired as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Loma Linda Fire Department. Tom was promoted to the position of Fire Engineer in 2015. Having an interest in fire prevention Tom transferred to the Fire Prevention Bureau in 2016 as the Fire Inspector. Tom has an Associate of Science in Emergency Medical Services and holds a Bachelors of Science in Fire Science from Purdue University. He holds several professional certifications that include Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Investigator, Public Information Officer, Terrorism Liaison Officer, Hazardous Materials Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Instructor, Fire Inspector I and II, and Plans Examiner. He also holds national professional certifications from the National Fire Academy, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, International Code Council, and the National Fire Protection Association.

Executive Aide - Nataly Alvizar
Nataly Alvizar commenced public service career with the City of Loma Linda in December 2012. Initially contributing her skills to the Community Development and Code Enforcement Departments, she processed planning and building permits, facilitated the issuance of animal licenses, and played a key role in the implementation of city operating policies. In the course of her tenure, Nataly demonstrated versatility by assuming the role of interim City Clerk and secretary for both the Planning and Historic Commissions, showcasing her commitment to supporting diverse aspects of municipal governance. In 2021, Nataly transitioned to the Fire Department, where she currently holds the position of Executive Aide. In this capacity, she shoulders the responsibility for the effective administration of both city fire stations and oversees the Fire Medical Subscription Program.
Nataly Alvizar's dedication to professional development is evident in her accomplishments, she is a a Notary Public. Additionally, she has successfully completed the JPIA Management Academy, the Cal OES Essential Emergency Management class, and the Cal OES Essential EOC Planning training. These qualifications underscore her commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry standards and best practices, further enriching her contributions to the City of Loma Linda.
