NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

NOTICE IS GIVEN that the presiding officer of the Planning Commission, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956, has directed me to call a Special Meeting of the Planning Commission on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council Chamber, 25541 Barton Road, Loma Linda, California, pertaining to the attached Agenda.

SPECIAL MEETING OF

CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS

A. CALL TO ORDER - Persons wishing to speak on an agenda item are asked to complete an information card and present it to the secretary. The Planning Commission meeting is recorded to assist in the preparation of the minutes, and you are, therefore, asked to give your name and address prior to offering testimony. All testimony is to be given from the podium.

D. ORAL REPORTS/PUBLIC PARTICIPATION ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS (LIMITED TO 30 MINUTES; 3 MINUTES ALLOTTED FOR EACH SPEAKER) - This portion of the agenda provides opportunity to speak on an item, which is NOT on the agenda. Pursuant to the Brown Act, the Planning Commission can take no action at this time; however, the Planning Commission may refer your comments/concerns to staff, or request the item be placed on a future agenda.

E. AGENDA (THREE MINUTES IS ALLOTTED FOR EACH SPEAKER PER AGENDA ITEM) NEW ITEMS

1. REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION OF REPORT AS TO CONFORMITY OF THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY WITH GENERAL PLAN - (PUBLIC MEETING LIMITED TO 20 MINUTES) - The Planning Commission is requested to make a Finding pursuant to Gov. Code Sec. 65402 that the location, purpose and extent of the purchase of the subject property is consistent with the General Plan; and, to forward their Report to the City Council. The property in question consists of 587.16 acres of land located south of Beaumont Avenue (APNs 0294-011-24, 26, 28, 30, 31 & 32; 0294-021-19, 20 & 21) and owned by Deer Park, LLC and Miller/Maxwell Street, LLC.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve Report of Conformity

F. ADJOURNMENT - Reports and documents relating to each agenda item are on file in the Department of Community Development and are available for public inspection during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Loma Linda Branch Library can also provide an agenda packet for your convenience.
