On November 8, 2023, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 775 establishing City Council election district boundaries and sequencing elections within those boundaries  to change the City's electoral system from "At-Large" to five (5) Districts with respect to electing members of the City Council effective the 2024 General Municipal Elections.

City Council Election will be held in the City of Loma Linda on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, to elect three (3) Council Members to four-year terms each from Districts 1, 4 and 5.  The seats are currently held by Council Members:  Bhavin Jindal (District 1); John Lenart (District 4);  Rhodes Rigsby (District 5)

Candidates filing for nomination must be a resident of the said district at least thirty (30) days prior to the time the member is elected and throughout the member's term of office.  They shall be elected by voters in their district.

The filing period for nomination documents:
Monday, November 13, 2023, to Friday, December 8, 2023. 

Nomination documents were issued by the City Clerk during the following dates and times of the filing period: Monday - Thursday, 7:00am to 5:00pm; and Friday, December 8, 2023, between the hours of 8:00am to 12:00pm

2022 General Municipal Election

A General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Loma Linda on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, to elect two Council Members to a four-year term each.  The seats available are those now held by Mayor Phill Dupper and Mayor pro tempore Ronald Dailey.

The filing period for nomination papers begins Monday, February 14, 2022, to Friday, March 11, 2022. The City Clerk's office will open Friday, March 11, 2022, between the hours of 9:00am - 4:00pm.
